Qujing is located in the east of Yunnan Province, east of Guizhou Province, adjacent to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region, south of Wenshan Prefecture, Honghe Prefecture, west to Kunming City, north to Zhaotong City and Guizhou Province Bijie City.

Economic development zone is located in the center of Qujing City West River, Yunnan city group the first core area, Yunnan is one of the three major national economic development zone development zone.
